A South African university, University of the Free State (UFS), is set to award Oprah Winfrey with an honorary doctorate in a ceremony next week that will be open to the public. Oprah’s busy…as reports note that she will be there to accept the degree.

“It is a great privilege for the UFS to be the first South African university to honour Ms Winfrey in this way and to be able to recognise a global icon of her stature,” said Jonathan Jansen, Vice-Chancellor and Rector of the UFS.

Oprah already has claimed her honorary doctorates from Princeton University as well as Duke University too. Congratulations Dr. Oprah Winfrey!
