- About Maya Angelou and the Medal of Freedom honor – for Dr. Maya Angelou received Medal of Freedom from the President yesterday…one of the highest honors in this country. I have to say that I just saw her on Oprah’s Master Class…and I love her even more. I would name my daughter Maya after her….because I just think she is wonderful…
- About Lara Logan’s attack in Egypt – I am always fearful of reporters in places of unrest…and think that ALL reporters…. capturing these stories to bear witness for all of us on what is going on in the world… I thank them all…for the danger and the sacrifices that they make all of the time. Thank you journalists! Be safe!
- About Billy Ray Cyrus’ interview – “Hannah Montana destroyed my family….” I’m sad for this family. I’m sorry for Miley. I wish them all the best.
- About Miss San Antonio – Charged with “gaining excessive weight” and told she had to give back the crown. “They told me to lay off the tacos…” Wow…Yikes is right Gayle. Hand me another taco please…
- About Menus with Calories – I think it’s a great idea….but I’m not a teenager.
- About the Airline Industry – I wonder if Gayle is a United fan….since she flies United. How many miles do you have Ms. Gayle? Brian Ross’ story about airline pilots…being tired…sleeping in the cockpit….or in a chair overnight….this is scary. Growing up it always seemed that pilots had a glamorous life…and now, it just seems that they get paid less than a project manager….or an entry level engineer just out of college. They must really love to fly….why else would they do this?
- About the Royal Wedding – April 29th…and Gayle is on a crusade to go to the wedding. That would be funny….maybe Kanye West will call and make her his plus one. I remember being 12 years old…and watching Diana and Prince Charles get married. It was such a fairytale. Now…with William and Kate….it’s something that is fueling the economy I am sure. How fun for them….how amazing…the history….how incredible, the story. I’ll totally be up and watching…and setting my Tivo too!
- About James Earl Jones – Darth Vadar…the voice of CNN… on Broadway now in the play, “Driving Miss Daisy.” What an awesome actor and performer…and OMG with him reading the Justin Bieber song, “Baby.” I love it! But the interview…too short. You gotta give them more time….I would have enjoyed a little more with James….I know it’s hard to ‘fit it all in’ but stop trying. It’s ok.
- About Gayle getting a dog – Gayle….you’ll know when it’s right to get another dog. You’ll realize that you miss the little pitter patter of the feet in the house…and the unconditional love. And when you are ready….you will realize that the dog you loved and lost has made you an even better dog parent…and that the dog lives on by you…passing along the lessons learned…to some new little lucky dog.
