Rosie Show

Rosie Recap- Jim Belushi, Randy Jackson & Favorite Moments from Test Shows on “The Rosie Show”

One thing everyone knows is that Rosie has a huge heart. When OWN was fine tuning Ro’s show with test weeks that never went to air, she came across some memorable guests….some that she felt the world needed to see. So the episode was a tribute to the most memorable of them all including Jim Belushi, the Cusak sisters, Randy Jackson,

Beginning with a young girl, Haley, singing “Tomorrow” from Annie only to find herself singing “Oh The Things You Can Think” from Seussical: The Musical with Rosie.

Following the number, Rosie announced her “Broadway Babies” talent search she is running online. All you have to do is download the song, make a video of your child singing it and send it in! We could be watching your child next on OWN!

The next clip was all about the adorable Jim Belushi. After playing himself on stage with the harmonica, he shared stories of his brother, about his family and the children.

Soon after, Rosie was showing us her interview with Randy Jackson. He gave a little shout out the Katreese and the band and move into the interview. Of course Ro couldn’t miss her opportunity to entice Randy to put a good word in with Adele. We all know how much Rosie would LOVE for her to be on the show. As a fan….I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

However, Randy didn’t leave until everyone in the audience knew they were going home with his superfly Randy Jackson eyewear! It was very cool of him.

The next clips involved one of my favorite “big screen” families…the Cusaks. Ann, who played in the movie A League of Their Own with Rosie, and her sister Joan shared stories of Rosie on set and Madonna’s inability to play sports. Small personal, heartwarming and hilarious moments.

After a few clips of Richard Marx performing, Modern Family’s delightful Nolan Gould, Jenifer Lewis’s singing homage to menopause, and the ultra-cool Henry Winkler who shared the key to marriage (listening) and his love for fly-fishing. All the clips were great! Rosie then ended the show with country’s Little Big Town signing “Shut Up Train”. Enjoy the clip!
