Rosie Show

Rosie Recap- Ellen Barkin & Occupy Wall Street’s Jesse LaGreca on “The Rosie Show”

As usual, The Rosie Show began in laughs. First it was the outfit. Although I didn’t think she looked bad, I did think it looked like a Mexican poncho, but only when she held her arms out. In truth, I don’t really care what Rosie wears….I still love her! After a few jokes, Rosie updated on the latest legislation that was actually passed within 30 minutes. What could possibly have moved through the quicksand that quickly? The big vote only reminded me that our officials are getting lazy. They all agreed that pizza is a vegetable. They send these messages out and wonder we are fighting a war against obesity. I already have my issues….don’t raise our kids wanting pizza to fill their veggie quota. Just crazy!

With Occupy Wall Street still on everyone’s mind, Rosie grabbed a camera crew and went out to see what was happening. She brought back footage showing an organized and civilized protest.

I have been so impressed with Rosie’s speaking out. The dash of Jon Stewart-ish political pieces are fantastic! Life gets so busy that we all need to be shaken occasionally and Rosie is doing it elequotently. As for Ocuppy Wall Street, I wonder how long this will take for the 1% to get that this isn’t going away. I imagine them laughing….protestors can sit there for decades and it won’t take anything from them. they make more money on the interest of their money than almost all those people combined make in a year. We need to hit them where they feel it. We must stop buying goods from those who are socially irresponsible. Does anyone have a website telling us what to companies to boycott? Hit them in the pocket book with via our power in numbers. When bonuses and dividends stop, change will begin. Don’t get me wrong! I am so proud of each person who sits in protest. This cause is SO important. They have become the new revolutionaries – the voice of what is morally right.

Her first guest was Jesse LaGreca, an Occupy Wall Street participant. He was so articulate and approachable. I applaud Rosie for bringing him on the show. Catch a clip of him.

After the break, Ellen Barkin joined the show. I have to say…her new film, “Another Happy Day”,looked amazing. RO and Ellen talked candidly about the parts she played, parenthood, Broadway, telling it like it is on twitter and her lack of love for Bill O’Reilly. It was great!

At the end of the show, Arthur joined the crew for a game of “At the Movies with Arthur”. Of course, in his red jacket! He is so funny. Take a look.
