Rosie Show

Rosie Recap- Beth Chapman, Kody Brown & the Sister Wives on “The Rosie Show”

Who would have thought…Rosie and Beth Chapman from “Dog the Bounty Hunter” are good friends. I’m not judging. I just would have totally missed that in a trivia game. With all the Sandusky questions flying around, Beth skyped in and tried to explain the reason he is out on bail. Take a look. You will be shocked to hear that tax payers are paying for his freedom. Seriously!

So as we cut social programs that can help children, mothers, fathers, families, the education system, homeless, those who are struggling….BUT we pay for wealthy people to be bonded out via personal recognizance (on my word) bonds? Our priorities are all screwed up. Go to pennstatefacts.wordpress.com to voice your opinion and help to make a change. I just became a HUGE fan of Beth!

Rosie then shared the underground or up and down – whatever you want to call it talk show that is secretly been going on in their very own elevator. Check out what Rosie’s production assistant, Caesar Rivera, has been doing with his spare time. I love it!

Polygamist and TLC reality star Kody Brown and his sister wives visited the show tonight. First on set was Kody. I never seen his show so it’s a little hard for me to wrap my head around it. Floods of different scenes from Our America with Lisa Ling ’s episode on plural marriage and the documentary Sons of Perdition come racing back. Yet Rosie is talking to him like he’s a celebrity. I am not judging…honestly, it isn’t my place. It is just so odd to see this concept becoming so main stream. Check out the clip as Kody addressed the issues of divorce in polygamist families.

Coming back from the break, Rosie handed Kody a headset to keep in the quiet as she shared a segment with three of the sister wives as they discussed stereotypes, the loose rules of polygamy, favoritism and jealousy. Every consenting adult has the right to live their life…as long as no one else gets hurt. However, it seems natural that there would be jealousy within families. I just wonder….how would society react if a woman had multiple husbands? Why aren’t there any brother husbands? I understand their religion preaches this, but as people we are responsible for how we treat others…and how we allow them to treat us.

After one sister wives shared that she doesn’t feel special, they show a clip of how they all stepped up to a scale to literally weigh against each other. Of course the new potential wife weighed in a lot smaller….only creating more of an irritation. What was the point to it? I am certain the Sister Wives thought it was relevant, and it certainly was brave, but it just feels like a pattern of bringing a woman down. To me it is simply crazy ass! Everyone is deserves to feel special. I’m telling you…brother husbands would change this all up.
In all, the interview was good. Rosie is so great at being able to talk about anything and make people feel comfortable. They seemed like sweet people who clearly love their family. As I said before, it isn’t for me to judge.

The show ended with a special game of “Squeeze-Its” with the Sister Wives and a couple of audience members. Check out the clip from OWN.
