A much deserved congratulations to the OWN team!  This past Sunday, Oprah and her team were awarded a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Class Series for their work on Super Soul Sunday.   Now all of us who watch know that this show deserves MANY awards but it was wonderful to hear that the O Team was recognized.  

“‘Super Soul Sunday’ is the reason Oprah wanted to create this platform,” said President of OWN, Sheri Salata. “Oprah’s vision is to use television to drop little pieces of light into our consciousness and this is the beginning of the fulfillment of that dream. We are thrilled that our first Emmy is for this show.”

However the congratulations don’t stop there.   Yes…there is more great news!  The team for The Oprah Winfrey Show  also took home an Emmy for their Outstanding Achievement in Live & Direct to Tape Sound Mixing. 

In appreciation for all of the attention, OWN posted a special message to viewers.  “We wanted to thank you, our viewers. We feel tremendous gratitude to you—you inspire us every day!”
