About The Five Browns Sex Scandal – 3 girls and 2 boys. Keith Brown….pled guilty on felony charges of sodomy and sexual abuse of a child. The women came forward…to share their story. Now, Desirae Brown, 32, Deondra Brown, 30 and Melody Brown, 26. The abuse started when the youngest daughter was 6 years old. Stunned and shocked….you never know what is going on behind closed doors. Doctor Gayle Saltz that is on says, “It’s shocking, but it’s not. This can happen in any family.” I am so proud of these young women and their strength and bravery. Didn’t other adults see this….and why does the mom stay with him? I’m with Gayle….without question….if your husband abuses your daughter….it’s a deal breaker. I’m completely with you. I am so proud of you Brown girls. This makes you stronger…and saying it out loud take the power away from it…. And gives you back your power…and you are all 3 very powerful young women.
About Chris Cuomo and 20/20 – First, let’s talk Lindsay Lohan. Mom Dina wants her kids to be normal….and to have a normal life. Dina talks with Chris Cuomo tonight on 20/20. “Dina’s in a tough spot….for any parent who has a kid that is battling profound addiction – which this child is – very difficult. She is alone in this….,” says Chris. Watch the piece…and draw your own conclusions…. About Joel’s Northrup’s Decision about Wrestling and boys vs. girls – A boy decided to forfeit his match against a girl because he just did not feel right about wrestling a girl. “As a matter of conscience and my faith….,” Joel Northrup says in a statement. I think its wonderful that he was strong enough to make this decision even if it meant that he lost the championship….and to do this at an age when there is so much peer pressure and so much angst on growning into who you are. Girls and boys do not need to be wrestling against each other…well…not in a sport.
About Lea T, European Supermodel…and living transgendered – on the Oprah show yesterday….talking about how she is transitioning from male to female. Lea knew from when she was really young that she was different….and this is just the final piece…the transition. Her parents seemed wonderful through all of this. She is beautiful….and wonderful that she is showing a new face to the transgendered community. So….why is the American market so close-minded at signing her up for a show during Fashion Week? Please people…I’m with Gayle. We need to be more accepting…
