It’s so hard seeing reporters being attacked…who are just trying to bring us the stories…clearly; these are tough and highly emotional places to be reporting from.
About the new White House Press Secretary, Jay Carney – Good luck….yesterday was his first day and his first briefing. His job seems to fall somewhere between the President and the Press. Claire Shipman from ABC News is his wife…and joined Gayle to give her the wife perspective on how she was feeling while she watched him. “He’s such a great communicator…” “He’s up at 5am or earlier to read everything….and out the door by 7am. He’s not a morning person…” but he’s one of the nicest guys. He’ “I think he did incredibly well. He looked calm and confident,” raves his wife. I think she was gushing a little.
About the Oprah show and Oprah and Ilana Vanzant –Gayle was up until 1am talking to Oprah last night about this show. Oprah was trying to develop her back in the day…and Ilana had another offer on the table. OMG…it’s clear that Ilana was insecure back then…maybe still now. Can you have the same conversation and walk away…and the two people involved can have a completely difference experience and hear something different? Yes…it’s about communication, communication, communication. Gayle thought that it was great…to see the exchange between the two….and an insider update, Oprah and Ilana are communicating and getting along “very well” since the show. Darlene says that Ilana needs to learn to listen…and now Oprah Winfrey calls in from her treadmill and her own opinion about the show. “Ilana feels very blessed from yesterday – her book started out in the 2017 area and ended up at #8 on Amazon.” “The bottom line the thing that I heard…she was not ready to receive it. All those years that I was giving her the platform of the stage and she didn’t know what that was because she wasn’t ready to receive it.” Did you think you were hard on her? “I thought that I was real.”
About Bethenny Frankel – “mommy mommy mommy” she loves saying those words. Newlywed….and a new mom…and now a new Bravo TV show…so…who is she? Oh, from the Bravo “housewives” series. So crazy that non-famous, non-actors, total drama people can make a career out of this. Just crazy…

About the wedding band in the sewer drain story….John and Caitlin from Denver, Colorado. As the engagement ring was slipped out of the box, the band fell into the sewer. But they called the Denver fire department….and they came out and retrieved the ring. What a happy ending…thank goodness.
About Jeopardy and the machine – the final winner is…the computer….but isn’t it really the genius who created the computer that could interact and understand those questions? That makes me feel a little better….sort of…
