Recently, someone asked my sister and I, “How do you blog on all of these things? Do you guys have jobs? How do you do it?” The question made me stop…because I’m not really sure how to answer it. Here is the truth…or as much as I am willing to share with the world on the Internet…
How do I do ANY of it?
- Participate in the “Sandwich” generation and take care of (and enjoy immensely) a mother who dedicated her existence to raising 3 daughters on her own…
- Channel the inner teacher 3 times a week and help teach two teenagers who are home schooled…one nephew…one neighbor…who are super smart, super wonderful and super human beings…
- Lift up family and friends who need lifting…with dinner, or a place to stay or a kind word…or anything….
- Juggle bills and work and money and house and mortgage and lack of work and lack of money and time for life and all the other stuff…
- The desire to write…to photograph…to tap into the creative side that never fades…but is neglected and not given the time it cries out for….
- Spend enough time with those I love…including my high maintenance and low maintenance fur kids….
- Pay attention and stay present…
- Watch all of OWN programming and blog on it…thoughtfully…carefully…and with good intentions….
I do it with a lot of help from God….a lot of deep breaths….and with a good heart.
This is how I do it all….I do it the best that I can…
