Rosie Show

Rosie Recap- Florence Henderson & Kool and the Gang on “The Rosie Show”

Rosie welcomed back Kool and the Gang to the show as the special house band. They are touring with Katreese and the Boys opening up for them….and the cupcake and Snuggie lady, Dolores, is joining them. Her dream come true! With everyone’s favorite mom on the show today, Rosie announced a contest they are running looking for the worst mom ever. She then went on to share a story about Parker’s 6th birthday party where she had a cooler for the kids and one for the adults….somehow a child got access to some adult lemonade and ended up drunk at the party. Now that is a hard call to make to a parent….”Uhm hi. I know you don’t really know me but your child is s*%t faced on my lawn”. That is a pretty good example of good moms having a bad moment. I am certain Parker doesn’t let her live that one down. To tell Rosie your worst mom moment, head over to Rosie.com to complete the form. With a few questions from the audience we learn that Madonna will be coming around December to promote her movie “WE” and that Rosie’s art is for sale and it supports kids in need.

Florence Henderson made her way to the stage promoting her new autobiography, “Life Is Not a Stage: From Broadway Baby to a Lovely Lady and Beyond”. She is sharing her honest and telling story covering her beginnings of being raised in poverty with an alcoholic father, her relationship with her mom, about hypnotherapy and postpartum and losing her husband. She is an actual hypnotherapist and even married her own hypnotherapist. I had no idea that the Bradys were the first couple to sleep in the same bed on TV. Scandalous! If Florence had her way, Carol Brady would have had a job and been a bit meaner to the kids. I am happy for us children growing up with her that she didn’t. She was the ideal mom and all of us needed her to keep our own parents in check.

Game time was awesome! Florence hosted a special edition of “Very Brady Trivia” where a woman went up against Rosie (and the woman’s young daughter) testing their “Brady Bunch” knowledge. I am thinking they should have been given a few points to start with…I mean this is Rosie, please! Shockingly, Rosie barely eeked out the win by only one. Luckily Rosie let the mom join them in the bonus round winning them a TV. While watching I couldn’t help but think that Florence should host a show on OWN interviewing moms from all over the world.

Closing out the show was Kool and the Gang singing “Get Down on It” followed by confetti of course!
