Growing up in the south it is amazing how someone like Paula Deen already feels like family. Although she is always smiling, her eyes hint at a deeper story…one that I am certain Oprah and Gayle will caringly deliver. Last night’s episode with Tony Robbins on Oprah’s Next Chapter was AMAZING! The 2-hour special opened my eyes to a man that I never really knew. Many years ago my family was vacationing in Hawaii when we realized me were in the wave of Tony Robbins seminar attendees. I remember thinking that they seemed crazy like a cult and even joked about the kool aid. I was younger and far more judgmental. I only wish I had opened myself up to hearing his message.
The small glimpses into his seminar were life changing, but I’m not so sure about the fire-walking thing. I mean….walking across 2,000 degree hot coals? Oprah had it right when she said that all animals know to stay away from fire. After watching the videos of Oprah and her staff, I am not sure I am any closer to taking that walk of faith. Crazy!!!

Sitting for a private session with Robbins, Oprah is given the chance to hear his story of how he coached himself following his own failures, learns his vision on the secret to success, and discover how all of us can rise above our obstacles and become the person we want to be. This is certain to be a growing episode for us all.
