Carson, our Fashion Interventionist, headed to my home state of California…to up the North coast to the quaint town of Eureka.  Charming by the ocean, Eureka has had it’s own earthquakes…but Carson is going to shake it up in a different way.  With assistant Ashley by his side, he’s ready for his 4 days of making the world better one person at a time.  And this week Carson is ambitious…and making miracles happen for some really special people.  Here’s is who is on the agenda:

  • Kongmany has let Lupus and life get in the way for too long and is ready to start living and finally have the wedding of her dreams.  Inspired by her story, Carson is determined to help Kongmany add brightness to her life by fulfilling her dream of tieing the knot.
  • Tatoo Artist, John – Cargo and T-Shirts living is about to get a Carson shake up!  John lost his little brother, Joe, and when he did, his life just changed…and he hasn’t shaved since. Ready for a change…and a little dancing too, he’s ready for his makeover.
  • Bobi from the Coast Guard – Time for this mom to have some Carson intervention… and feel like a beautiful woman.  It all begins at the spa people…and let’s just say WOW!

Here are the Carson Lessons this week…

  • Always remember when buying a wedding dress “when you feel that magic, that’s the one…”
  • Hair grows back…just go with it.  You just might be glad you did.
  • Guys…women really don’t like beards…just sayin’
  • “It’s about living your life. Whether your sick…whether your healthy.  You never know what tomorrow holds.” – Carson Kressley, Carson Nation
  • Let people give back to you…it’s an amazing gift to give…but it’s also an amazing gift to let someone give back to you.

Kidnapped: Shannon Peters, mother of 2 ½ , and wife of Frank

Kidnappers: son, John, age 16, and daughter, Skye age 7

Opening a new business is hard on any family, but for Shannon’s kids it has been devastating. With “bQute Boutique” up and running for a year, you would think their mom could make a little time to relax with the family. Working 7 days a week for up to 15 hours a day, Shannon shared her priorities…first herself, then her career followed by her kids. With her third child on the way, the Peters family seemed desperate. Luckily her husband works with her and he gets to catch a glimpse of her now and then.

The kids were missing their mother. Although Frank did his best, the looks on John and Skye’s face said it all. “I think my mom loves work more than my family” John told the producers. 16 is such an important age and he was at a pivotal point. He needed her in his life. Then Skye shared “I spend time with my mom never” as her eyes dropped to the floor. It didn’t take much to see these kids felt unloved and hopeless.

To help, Shannon and Frank talked Frank’s mother, Yvette (aka TeTe), into moving to Palmdale so she could help with the kids. “I consider Yvette more of a mother figure in my life than my mom.” As for John, he was responsible for making sure his little sister was taken care of. With his mom absent from his daily life…for most of his life…John has lost trust in her being there for him. “I feel like she just doesn’t want to spend time with me.” Frank is concerned about losing him. Not to the streets, but he fears John will give up and just want to leave. [read more…]

Sharron and John Crowther feel in love at an early age and set to creating a beautiful life together in the UK. Once they had their first child, they couldn’t wait to keep adding to their family. Nine years after they married, they gave birth to the 3rd son, Harry. A fantastic child, both Sharron and John never would have suspected what was to come. Here are a list of some of his personal symptoms and a brief version of the path Harry took to get a final diagnosis.

Some of the symptoms he showed over time:

  • Around the age of 1, Sharron noticed what she believed to be tiny freckles under his arm. , but they were spread out and a pale-brown in color. With an ultraviolet light, the dermatologist was able to detect another spot the size of about half an apple on his stomach. They were referred to a geneticist.
  • The geneticist thought it was Type 1 Neurofibromatosis which may cause tumors in the body as the child grows. A blood test was given to confirm. A few weeks later, they went to see the geneticist who told them the test was negative. [read more…]
