Party at Tiffany's

Party at Tiffany’s – Tiffany Makes a Splash & Oodles of Poodles

What an awesome story! At one point Tiff was making 6 figures, then her life turned upside down. In the midst of the crisis, she made the choice to follow her dream and the pink rainbow. Luckily her boyfriend Jermaine knew how to use a hammer and he helped her turn the shell of a building into a party palace. Now the owner of the “Pink Pastry Parlor”, Tiffany spends her days making fantasies come true for little girls. With a crew of teen parlettes, she relies heavily on her mom, Corcetter, and sister, Terra, who try to fit helping in the cracks of their own busy lives. As a sister who knows how hard it can be to say no to her own sisters (let’s be honest I can’t), it is clear Tiffany’s family loves her and wants her to succeed.

In the first episode we meet a young 7 year old, Yuliana, who can’t wait to live out her dreams as a Caribbean underwater princess. As they excitedly talked about the party, the mom asked to for a beach and water setting for her girls. You know, so the kids can hang out on the beach and then swim ….IN THE BUILDING. It was great watching Tiffany hold it together and plaster a smile as I was sure she was thinking “Are you nuts????” She reassured the mom that she’d make it happen.

Before she could begin she pulled the girls and her sister into the room and handed out name tags with job titles, including sanitation. I am thinking there has to be a better name for that. Of course her sister was NOT happy about being lumped in with the teen parlette helpers. As the limo headed to pick up the birthday girl and her friends, the parlettes put on the final touches for Yuliana’s Carribean birthday.

After Congo drums, head dresses, a little dancing and spa time, the girls headed into the special room for a surprise. Overflowing into the blow-up pool, a huge faucet of bubbles spilled onto the girls as they played and laughed. Soon after, the girls ended up in the tea room enjoying cupcakes and drinks. Drinks spilled, kids cried, and fights broke out -it was a birthday brawl. Okay it wasn’t quite like that but let’s just say that sisters always make up in the sweetest ways!

The next episode was sure to be a handful. Not only was Tiffany trying to pull off a fashion runway poodle party for 10 year old Sayler, but she was also preparing for her own 30th birthday. While Tiffany finalized the details with Sayler’s family, the Parlettes had their own secret mission. As a special gift to Tiffany, they were determined to clean out her office (which had become a storage room) and make it something special. The only problem…they had less than 24 hours AND had a party to pull off AND had to do it without her knowing. Piece of pink cake!

After lucking out and finding 12 poodles, everything seemed to be coming together UNTIL Tiffany sent two of her parlettes to pick up all of the poodles from the groomer around the corner. Then the girls freaked out and ended up dropping all of the leashes allowing the dogs to run into the street. Joking that their lives were more important I found myself seriously irritated. People trusted them with their dogs and they could be in serious danger. The girls slowly walked back into the groomer’s store and asked for them to help. Luckily the groomers helped deliver the dogs. As the dogs arrived I began to think that Tiffany had no idea what she had gotten into. I can’t get through a magazine or an email without one of my pups needing out. Add a bunch of screaming girls and she was looking for chaos. Fortunately the leashes added some control.

Once the cookies were designed, a pillow fight and a dog catwalk, the girls landed in the cupcake room – they had a blast. In the meantime, the parlettes finished off her office in style. With the party behind them, they revealed her office – it was obvious that Tiffany was truly touched. Surrounded by family and friends, Tiffany welcomed 30 with open arms. She has no idea how great 30 will be!
