  1. I loved this ep; because I — besides having a graphic design career in movies for the last 20 yrs, am also — ODDLY — a holistic nutritionist…. so when Shania’s been going thru this whole journey of internal healing, I really “get” the gist of it all.

The guy tonight who was helping her — Ted? — the one who lost the wife to cancer and then lost the daughters to a car accident, and then helped her (Shania) burn her letter & let go of things in the fire — I LOVE this guy. I can’t say it loudly enough in the all-caps way… I seriously ADORE his spiritual approach to therapy. He’s a modern Shaman, and I totally and completely understand everything he did with her to help her let go.

He’s exactly who/what I had wanted to become when I tried to make my segue into a whole new career (from graphics to nutrition.) I went holistic, spiritual & metaphysical. And I did a LOT Of interior work and a lot of learning; and yes, I did learn a lot, but it didn’t quite make its way 100% to my soul. I backslid. The Universe gave me a bit of a spanking. And I never quite made it to the “gifted” and “loving” status that Ted has really attained. It’s like head-knowledge vs. soul-knowing.

I’m glad to see Shania “getting it” though. Even though she has a lot of resistance and it’s 200% apparent that she’s got a major throat-chakra blockage, she’s meeting some great people and practitioners along the way, and kudos to her for being so open. Rock on. Look forward to someday seeing her in concert to celebrate her return.

Lastly, I applaud OWN and Oprah for its choice in the new series: not the prison ones or scary ones, but the ones like Lisa Ling, Chaz, Shania, the Judds, or the upcoming Ryan/Tatum O’Neill one. OH — and I will put this in all-caps on purpose: I LOVE LOVE LOVE the people who co-won the show about “having their own show on OWN” — especially the guy w/ cerebral palsy. I just adore him, his sayings, his chutzpah, his bravery and his humour.

I will never forget the day I tuned in and heard him say “I am worth my own dreams.”

I know I’m making big detours in my comment, but they all just needed to come out of my heart because they kinda had no where else to go. Thank you for this venue to dialogue at least.

I should shut up though because it’s time for bed! Much love to the OWN network. Thanks for existing! And thank you SHANIA for introducing us to Ted. Fantastic and wonderful person. Beyond words. Take care.
