◦About Ellen Barkin – She’s not going to be able to make it this morning…because Ellen’s friend was arrested and sustained some injuries during the Occupy Wall Street crackdown (don’t get me started.) So, Ellen’s being a good friend… for that reason alone, see her movie, “Another Happy Day.” The world needs more good friends…and people like the next guest. Gayle’s own superman to the rescue…
◦About Donny Deutsch…Gayle’s Superman – Called at the last minute, Donny shows up and is ready to talk. And Gayle tells us that her team is packing up. I think there’s just a little bit of sadness happening with the team. So, Donny’s asking about Gayle’s new gig and Gayle tells him, “Charlie drives the first hour and I drive the second hour…and sometimes we will overlap…Erica Hill is part of both hours.” Something different. Gayle tells us, she’s nervous and excited and a time to try something different. Gayle is going to just be fantastic! And about Oprah? “Are you crazy? If you don’t do this it would be crazy!” Encouragement spoken JUST LIKE we knew would happen. We love these two friends. OK…on to other news…

◦About Penn State – First, the phone call in to Bob Costas. Did you know you can sing “Happy Birthday” slowly in the time that it took for him to respond to the question, “Are you attracted to young boys?” I am so proud of the victims for standing up and for being so strong and for speaking out. Focus on the victims. They are courageous. “Penn State will recover,”Donny tells us and Gayle thinks the students are getting it right.
◦About Justin Beiber and the fever going on… – The case has been dismissed. “Anyone can say anything,” Donny tells us. But, this probably moved JB a little more to the edge.
◦About Being Chaz – Chaz Bono is back on OWN in a follow-up docu-series starting soon. Gayle goes in right for the questions, “How are you and Jenn doing?” Challenging…but just the normal stuff that couples deal with. Finally feeling comfortable in his own skin, he’s talking about his time on DWTS and who’s his final pick (JR!…LOVE him!). Why did he go on DWTS? “I just wanted people to see me in a normal way,” Chaz says. So, with “Being Chaz,” Chaz tells us that it was a little harder doing the docu-series and it really captured a tough time in his life. But through it all, as Gayle calls her “Mama Bear Cher” has really come out and supported him. “If you are thinking about doing DWTS, do it,” Chaz tells us. ◦About Felicity Jones – In a hit at Sundance Film Festival, the film “Like Crazy,” brings us chemistry and love and a captivating film, Gayle says. She wanted the job so much that to audition, she shot one of the shower scenes in her own shower in London and sent it to the director. So creative. Now, that’s what I call, “just going for it!” Can’t wait to see the film! Gayle is smittin. That’s enough for me. Where do I buy my ticket?
◦About Tiny Prints and Laura Ching – Co-founder of Tiny Prints…a company that went from 3 employees to a multi-million dollar company. It’s a fantastic story! Birth announcements, cards, stationary, invitations, convenience… All pulled together because she saw a need. “I’ve always loved paper,” Laura says. These are amazing designs. I LOVE Tiny Prints! It started in her home…her apartment…and now, it’s turned into a “ginormous” business according to Gayle. Looking forward to Mondays for Laura means something totally great! What a story…I wonder what I can do? Wonder if I’m doing it….hmmmm…
