Meditation: Your Energy

In every moment of the day, energy is moving all around us and through us.  Today, I wanted to take note of that energy and bring it into focus.  One of my favorite quotes is from Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor that she shared with us years ago…  “Please be responsible for the energy you bring into this room.” 

I have tried to make this my life mantra as I move through whatever the journey brings.  So, as we jump into a new week, for today’s Meditation Monday it seems like the perfect gentle reminder.

Meditation is more than slowing down and finding a few moments of peace. It’s about getting to a place where you are focused and aware of your energy and your thoughts.  It may start with focusing on your breathing or your body, but essentially, the slowing down allows you to connect back to yourself.  Today, start early.  Find a quiet moment, close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.  Let yourself make that connection. Take five good minutes to focus on your energy and hear your life speaking to you.  It’s in those moments that life is the most clear.  Today, what does your energy look like today?  Today, what are you bringing to the world?
