In our OYou search for beauty, we went straight to the best source we could find, Beauty Director at O The Oprah Magazine, Val Monroe. Let me explain just how this happened.
During last year’s OYou Boot Camp Challenge, we scratched the surface of bringing beauty in to our lives and by giving ourselves the pampering life that we all deserve for a few days. This year, we wanted to dig a little deeper and put some words around what it means to be beautiful from the inside out. As we searched our O Magazine library and asked different sources on what it meant to be beautiful on the inside, we stumbled upon VYou, on online video social media site where everyone can connect just a little more easily with those who happen to be members.
As if the beauty stars aligned, there was Valerie Monroe, smiling and waving back to us on the screen like one of those magical pictures from a Harry Potter movie. There she was, like magic, waiting for our question so we quickly typed out our best beauty questions that we were searching for this week in our OYou Beaauty week, said a little prayer and hit send. In less than 24 hours, right in the middle of a “not so beautiful day,” this is the response we received.
With the true beauty lesson that Val Monroe offered us today, there was even a greater lesson that magically appeared. When you ask the world to help you aspire to be a better person and to live your best life, it responds to you exactly when you need it most. Thank you, Val Monroe.
